The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) have prepared an ambitious plan of Rs 3,581 crore to augment power transmission and distribution system in Faridabad. The plan will cater the load demand for the period up to 2021.
A senior official of the Haryana Power Utilities said DHBVN plans to create an infrastructural network of 33 KV sub-stations for electricity distribution in the district. Presently, there is a network of 66 KV sub-stations which are controlled by the HVPN. The DHBVN plans to set up 324 new 33 KV sub-stations in the district which would be connected to 220 KV sub-stations to get power.
The power utilities have long term as well as short term plans to strengthen power transmission and distribution system in Faridabad district. Under short term plan, it is programmed to renovate old transmission systems.
